Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare successfully conducted Nationwide campaign for adoption of Digital Life Certificates

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare successfully conducted the Nation-wide campaign for adoption of Digital Life Certificates which was launched last month. The campaign was conducted from 1st to 30th of November which was the mandated period for submission of Life Certificates by pensioners and family pensioners. The Department said that the Digital Life Certificate campaign was widely accepted by the pensioners with 30.85 lakh Central government pensioners using the certificate till 30th of November this year. Further, 2.88 lakh Digital Life Certificates were generated through Face Authentication this year.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The use of the Face Authentication Technology to submit Life Certificate was propagated as a part of digital initiatives undertaken by the Department. It collaborated with State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Unique Identification Authority of India and Pensioners' Welfare Associations in the conduct of this campaign in 37 cities across the country. </span></p>
