Deora calls petrol pump dealers not to stop operations

The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Mr Murli Deora has called upon the section of the petrol pump dealers not to stop operations of their retail outlets in view of strike call given by the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders on 20th of this month. The dealers are demanding commission in percentage of retail price instead of a fixed amount on each litre of fuel. At a meeting with a delegation of traders in New Delhi, the Minister emphasized that the dealers should exercise restraint from putting consumers to any kind of inconvenience.Mr. Deora also pointed out that the Government and the oil PSUs have always been open for considering Dealer's just demands and the recent hike in their commission is the latest example in this regard.
