With the beginning of month of Shrawan today, the Holy town of Deoghar in Jharkhand has come alive with lakhs of Kanwarias offering the holy water of river Ganga at Baba Baijnathdham temple. The water is collected from river Ganga by the pilgrims and then a foot journey of 165 KM begins for Baba Baijnath in Deoghar and Baba Basukinath in Dumka. Jharkhand Chief Minster Arjun Munda on Tuesday inaugurated the month long festivity.AIR Ranchi Correspondent reports that more than 25 thousand devotees had offered prayers at the Baba Baijnathdham temple on the ocassion of Guru Purnima.
