Deogarh ropeway accident: Rescue operation over, 3 dead and 12 injured; Jharkhand HC takes suo motu cognizance, orders inquiry

<span style="color: #222222;">In Jharkhand, the rescue operations of tourists who were stranded in cable cars,  following an accident at Trikoot mountain in Deogarh District have been completed. The accident occurred due to the breaking of the sap of the ropeway operated on the mountain.<br />''  <br />'' Deputy Commissioner of Deogarh Manjunath Bhajantri has thanked the troops of Cockerel Division from Brahmastra Corps, Indian Airforce, ITBP, NDRF, Local Administration, and Local People for  45 hour long successful rescue operations.<br />'' <br />'' The IAF Mi 17 and Mi-17 V5 helicopters were deployed in the rescue mission. All passengers have been airlifted from trollies. Among them, 12 people have been severely injured in the accident are being treated at Deoghar Sadar Hospital. Three persons were killed during the rescue mission.  <br />'' <br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the Jharkhand High Court has taken suo motu cognizance in the ropeway accident. A division bench of Chief Justice Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The court has fixed  26th April as the next date of hearing in the matter.</span>
