Denmark is to reduce its troops in Afghanistan by next year as part of a new disengagement strategy. <br/><br/>This was stated by the Danish Foreign Minister, Lene Espersen while addressing a news conference in Copenhagen. <br/><br/>At present, Denmark has nearly 750 soldiers in Afghanistan as part of the International Security Assistance Forces. They are mostly based in southern Helmand province. <br/>
