In Orissa, the death toll dengue has increased to 23 with the report of three more deaths yesterday. While two of the dead belonged to Angul district, the other one is from Jharsuguda district. According to official sources, 16 more people have been tested positive for dengue, taking the total affected by the virus in the state this month to 838. As many as 382 of the 838 patients who tested dengue positive belong to Angul district, which has been worst hit by the mosquito-borne virus. Dengue cases have been reported from 24 of Orissa’s 30 districts.
