In Bangladesh, the number of Dengue cases has reached its highest level since the first case of the mosquito-borne infection was detected in 2000. <br />''<br />'' According to the Directorate General of Health Services, 10,528 patients have been infected with Dengue till yesterday.&nbsp;<br />'' Close to 700 more people were reported with the viral infection across the country.<br />'' <br />'' Eight people have died in the current spate of Dengue outbreak, but the number is likely to be much higher going by the reports coming from various parts of the country and delay in collecting information by the official agencies.<br />'' <br />'' Hospitals in Dhaka are crowded with Dengue patients. Dhaka Medical College and Hospital data shows that out of 800 beds in the medicine department, 561 were occupied by dengue patients yesterday morning.<br />'' <br />'' The Government has issued a guideline for people to help stop the spread of the disease.
