The cases of Dengue fever, an infectious tropical disease caused by the bite of an Aedes mosquito, has crossed the 652 mark with 35 fresh cases in the national capital today. Two people have succumbed to dengue ever since the disease began spreading in the capital, early this month.South Delhi Municipal Corporation has reported the maximum number of 246 cases while 223 cases were detected from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation area and 155 cases have so far been reported from East Delhi Municipal Corporation. Other cases were reported from NDMC and Delhi cantonment areas. Out of the 652 cases, six cases have come from outside Delhi. Last year, the capital saw 216 cases of dengue, including eight originating from outside, and three deaths.
