Demonstrations against US decision to send more troops to Afghanistan

Demonstrations were held in Washington to protest against President Obama's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. The demonstrators urged the US President and his top national security advisors to reconsider their planned troop surge for Afghanistan. They said the American people want more jobs, not more US troops in Afghanistan.Meanwhile, NATO Foreign Ministers are meeting in Brussels on Friday to discuss the latest developments in Afghanistan. Earlier, speaking in Brussels, the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the NATO nations will send at least five thousand more troops to Afghanistan. The NATO Chief said he will recommend the NATO-led International Security Assistance force to hand over security responsibilities to Afghan forces in the next year.
