Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has said that demonetization was the direct attack on country's economy which had shifted employment to China. <br/><br/>Addressing the media persons at Surat, Mr. Gandhi said that demonetization has broken the back of farmers, workers and poor people in the country. He said that Surat is the only city capable to compete with China in employment generation, but it was badly affected by demonetization and hastily implemented GST.<br/><br/>Earlier, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi went to meet power-loom operators, diamond workers and textile workers at various industrial units and interact with them. He also met women workers associated with embroidery work and inquired about their problems.
