The State exchequer has saved about 30 thousand crore rupees during the last three years on account of Direct Benefit Transfer scheme for LPG or DBTL. <br/><br/>Speaking to AIR News today in Bhubaneswar, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said that under the PAHAL scheme, about 3.5 crore bogus LPG subscribers have been identified and ticked off from the list by dint of which the heavy pilferage of LPG could be controlled. <br/><br/>Speaking on the three years of the completion of the BJP led NDA government at the Centre, Mr. Pradhan said that the demonetisation was a bold and correct economic and political decision taken by the NDA government. <br/><br/>He said, his ministry is taking a number of crucial steps to make a paradigm shift from the use of crude oil and coal-based energy to gas and other non-conventional energy sources.
