The Tamil Nadu Assembly on Thursday passed a condolence resolution on the demise of former TN Governor Dr.P.C. Alexander. The members observed silence as a mark of respect. Dr. Alexander joined as a bureaucrat in 1948, a principal secretary to late Mrs. Indira Gandhi, Indian High Comissioner to UK and also served as a governor of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. He was also a Rajya Sabha member. He had also authored many books and articles on various subjects. According to sources his body would be taken to Kerala on Friday.
