Punjab State Board for Wildlife Member Dr Sandeep Kumar Jain has demanded immediate release of fresh water to revive the Kanjali wet land. He said the aquatic life in the holy Kali bein is in danger with fish dying in the dirty water. Most of the birds have gone because of the deteriorating condition of holy kali bein which passes through the Kanjali wet land.S.K. Jain, who is also Chief Coordinator Care for Animals and Protection of Environment said one of the important wet lands of the country is deteriorating with mushrooming of hyacinth.
