Demand for JPC probe continue to rock Parliament

The Opposition demand for a JPC probe into 2G spectrum and other scams continued to rock Parliament for the fifth day today leading to the adjournment of both houses for the day.While Rajya Sabha was adjourned till Friday, minutes after it met for the day, after paying obituaries for those killed in the building collapse in East Delhi, the Lok Sabha was adjourned first till noon and then for the day following uproarious scenes.In the Lok Sabha, while the BJP led Opposition members trooped into the well of the house raising slogans to press their demand, the Congress members countered them waiving placards calling for the dismissal of the Yedurappa government in Karnataka. The House was first adjourned for an hour till noon and then for the day after laying of papers.The Rajya Sabha also witnessed noisy scenes with the opposition persisting with its demand. Some Congress members were also seen moving towards the well of the house but they were prevented from doing so by their leaders. As the commotion continued, the House was adjourned for the day.AIR correspondent says that a meeting of All Political parties over lunch earlier this week on Tuesday failed to break the impasse over the opposition demand.
