Over 34 thousand participants from across the world are seen in action in Delhi's Half Marathon currently on. 13 Rio Olympians, are taking part in the elite race category of the ninth edition of Marathon. Rio Olympics full marathon race champion Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya and reigning half marathon World Champion Peres Jepchirchir, also of Kenya, are the star runners in the men's and women's elite race categories respectively. <br/><br/>Indian Elite athletes, G Lakshmanan, M D Yunus, and Man Singh in the Men's category, and Swati Gadhave, Sanjeevani Jadhav, and Monika Athare in the Women's field are aiming for a podium finish. The marathon features some of the biggest track and field and distance runners, with a total of 25 men and 18 women athletes from India participating in the Marathon.
