Greeting people on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan tomorrow, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today announced free ride for women in DTC buses in the national capital on this occasion. In a statement, Mrs. Dikshit said that the decision has been taken to ensure that women could reach easily to the places of their brothers. Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely added that women would be allowed free ride in all DTC ordinary buses and green low-floor buses till 5 P.M tomorrow.On the other hand, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC has also decided to run more than 160 extra trips of metro trains to cater to the extra rush of commuters on the occasion. Apart from that, additional Customer Facilitation Agents will also be deployed at varous metro stations to help commuters.
