Delhi Waveriders beat Jaypee Punjab Warriors to emerge as the champions in Hockey India League at Ranchi yesterday.The Waveriders beat Warriors 3-1 in the shoot-out after the regulation 70 minutes ended in a 3-3 tie. The Waveriders took home the glittering trophy and 2.5 crore rupees prize purse.While the Warriors won 1.25 crore rupees, Ranchi Rhinos pocketed 75 lakh rupees for finishing third.Earlier in the day, the Rhinos defeated Uttar Pradesh Wizards 3-2 to claim the third place.
