Delhi Assembly has passed the Delhi Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill -2012.The bill seeks to smoothen the tax planning and make it more effecient.The bill also proposes reduction in time limit for payment of Net Tax from 28 days to 21 days.The House also passed the motion of thanks to the Lt Governor Address.Earlier replying to a debate on the motion, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said that her government is committed to the development of the unauthorised colonies in the city and ruled out any possible demolition in such colonies. She said that the task of aerial mapping and finalisation of boundaries of all such colonies will be completed within a month.Mrs Dikshit said, the Survey of India has been entrusted the voluminous work of mapping. She said that the government is keen to accomplish the all important work of regularisation of colonies diligently with due care.
