Delhi Government has decided to simplify procedures for giving permission for shooting for movies at various locations in the national capital. At a meeting, Delhi Chief Secretary P K Tripathi asked Tourism department and other concerned agencies to work towards developing a simplified procedure for obtaining clearance for shooting for movies and documentaries in the city. As per existing norms, permission has to be obtained from a number of agencies including PWD, police, NDMC, MCD and Archaeological Survey of India depending on the locations as well as jurisdiction.
