Delhi will observe third Car Free Day today. The event will be held between 8 AM to 4 PM on the designated stretch of East Delhi from Lakshmi Nagar Metro Station to Kadkadi Mor area and it will remain car free during the period. The event aims at encouraging the people to use public transport instead of using their cars. <br/><br/>The event will start with a cycle rally led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in which his cabinet colleagues, MLAs and officials will take part. The programme is being organised under Ab Bus Karein campaign to make Delhi free of traffic jams and vehicular pollution. The city government had decided to organise such events on the 22nd day of every month. On the day, additional DTC buses will ply on the designated route of the area.
