Delhi Test: Ajinkya Rahane shines but India falter to end Day 1 on 231/7

In Cricket, India were 231 for 7 against South Africa, at stumps on the opening day of the fourth and final Test at Delhi. After 84 overs were bowled, the proceedings were cut short due to bad light .Earlier, opting to bat, the hosts got off a cautious start and were 60 for 1 at lunch and in tatters at tea with 139 for 6 . Ajinkya Rahane on 89 and Ravichandran Ashwin with 6 were at the crease at stumps. For South Africa, Dane Piedt claimed 4 wickets for 101. India lead the 4 match series 2-nil. Earlier, the recently-retired flamboyant opener Virender Sehwag was felicitated by the BCCI at the start of the fourth test match.
