In view of the prevailing cold wave, in the National Capital, the Delhi Government has ordered all schools in the city to remain closed from the 26th of this month till January 15th.Making the announcement, Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said all unaided recognised schools and public schools under the Directorate of Education, all Municipal Corporation of Delhi schools, New Delhi Municipal Council schools and Delhi Cantonment Board schools will be covered by the order.Mr. Lovely said the decision was taken after he received a large number of requests of parents and various schools demanding that the schools be directed to close down in view of the extreme weather condition. He added that the Directorate of education has already issued a circular to this effect.
