Delhi reports 923 new Covid-19 cases, highest single-day rise since 30th May

<span style="color: #222222;">The National Capital Delhi reported 923 fresh Covid-19 cases yesterday. It is the highest single-day rise since 30th May this year when the City recorded 946 new cases. No fatality has been reported in the last 24 hours. The covid positivity rate in Delhi has crossed 1 percent. The positivity rate presently stands at 1.29 percent and it is highest in the last seven months.<br />''<br />''238 cases of the new Covid variant, Omicron has been detected in the city till now. Out of these, 57 have been discharged from the hospital. The national capital has been witnessing a gradual uptick in the number of cases over the last week. The Delhi Government has imposed restrictions in the city under the Yellow Alert. Schools, colleges, cinema halls, spas, gyms, multiplexes, banquet halls, auditoriums, and sports complexes have been closed in the national capital. Delhi Metro and buses are operating at 50 percent seating capacity. Night curfew is in effect in the city between 10 pm and 5 am.</span>
