In the wake of the rising cases of dengue in the national capital, all the three Delhi Municipals Corporations-MCDs have launched massive fogging drive and awareness campaign in all the 272 wards to check the spread of dengue disease. Talking to AIR, South Delhi Municpal health officer, N.K Yadav said that hand operating and vehicle mounting fogging machines have been pressed into service in all the zones in this regard. He said that 3200 health staff will also undertake door- to- door visits to check the breeding of mosquitos. Besides, schools and concerned departments have been asked to ensure cleanliness and avoid waterlogging at their premises.Mr Yadav also said that all arrangements are in place in designated government and private hospitals in Delhi to meet the challenges of Dengue cases.Our correspondent reports that so far 233 cases of Dengue have been reported in the national capital which is lower than that reported in the past two years.
