Delhi remains hot and humid; Temp may dip on Tuesday

The Capital continued to remain hot and humid on Monday as light showers in some areas of the city last night failed to bring in any considerable respite.However, the squall followed by light showers last night brought down the minimum temperature to a notch below normal 26.3 degrees Celsius. The weatherman said that the city recorded the maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal for the season. According to Met office the monsoon is expected to reach Delhi on its normal date of June 29. It predicted a dip in the mercury on Tuesday due to dust storm and thunder storm accompanied by thunder squall in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover between 39 and 27 degrees Celsius.
