Delhi reels under intense cold wave

Delhi is in the grip of an intense cold wave on Monday. Low temperature coupled with icy winds is making life difficult for the people. The capital witnessed its coldest day of the season so far. The minimum temperature overnight was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, which is a degree above normal. An almost overcast sky during the morning hours prevented the sun from offering any solace to the people. The maximum temperature had on Sunday plunged to 14.6 degrees Celsius, six degrees down the normal level. The Met Department says the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 7 degrees and 16 degrees Celsius respectively.
