Delhi records lowest day temp in 44 yrs

Delhi today recorded the lowest day temperature in 44 years. Maximum temperature plunged to 9.8 degrees celsius with bone chilling icy winds sweeping the national capital.

The temperature recorded during the day was 11 notches below normal whileminimum dipped two degrees to stay at 4.8 degree celsius.

In Uttar Pradesh, the death toll due to cold wave has gone up to 107 with more deaths reported.

Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh continues to reel under an intense cold wave. Narnaul town in Haryana recorded a minimum temperature of 2.4 degrees Celsius this morning.

The weather man says, cold wave conditions will prevail over Haryana and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh for the next 48 hours.Cold wave sweeps Jammu region.
