Delhi: Private offices allowed to function with upto 50% attendance

Private offices in Delhi have been allowed to function with upto 50 percent attendance. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued an order in this regard advising them to stagger office timing, presence and quantum of staff. It has clarified that Night Curfew from 10 PM to 5 AM everyday and Weekend Curfew from 10 PM of Friday till 5 AM of subsequent Monday will remain in force in the national capital till further order.<br />''  <br />''Earlier, Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Anil Baijal rejected the proposal of Delhi government to lift weekend curfew and odd-even scheme for shops and commercial establishments in the city in view of COVID-19 situation.  The city government had recommended to end the restrictions in the wake of the decline in  COVID-19 cases.  Sources said, the LG has suggested that status quo be maintained with regards to weekend curfew and opening of markets saying decision will be taken on the subject once the COVID situation improves further. However, the LG  agreed to allow 50 percent attendance in private offices in the city. <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">        <br />''Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has requested the LG to reconsider the decision to continue the weekend curfew in Delhi and open shops in the markets under the odd-even system. He has said that it is necessary to give relief to the traders after the cases of COVID are reduced. Mr. Bidhuri said, the proposal of the Delhi government should be approved with the condition that it will ensure strict implementation of the corona rules in the markets.</span>
