Delhi Police to give ‘Pehchaan” to capital’s children

The Delhi Police has launched a programme aimed at curbing the increasing number of children missing in the city. Titled as Pehchaan-Safeguarding the Childhood, the programme prevents children from falling prey to exploitation and felony in capital city. The Delhi Police said through this initiative, children belonging to vulnerable sections of society, especially minors residing in jhuggies and resettlement colonies will be duly registered and photographed, from time to time with the district police. The police has also urged NGO's, corporate houses and other institutions interested in the program to provide financial support to the program.
