Ahead of Independence Day, Delhi Police today asked Delhiites to remain alert and inform the police if they spot any suspicious activity or person in their vicinity. <br/><br/>In a video message posted on the Delhi Police's Twitter handle, Delhi Police chief spokesperson Dependra Pathak assured people that the police is alert and has a robust mechanism in place to fight terrorism. <br/><br/>He said that the Special Cell unit of the police, SWAT teams and Parakram vans are working to ensure that the city remains safe. Pathak said, the police is alert to all kinds of threats and has made "robust preparedness" to tackle any threat to the city.<br/><br/>Last month, the police had banned flying of para-gliders, para-motors, hang-gliders, microlight aircraft, hot air balloons, small-size powered aircrafts and quadcopters in the national capital.
