Delhi police take apt security measures in response to terror threat

In response to the warnings of an imminent terror threat, the Delhi police has taken appropriate security measures to ensure security in the Capital. Spokesperson of Delhi Police, Rajan Bhagat said the police is aware of the advisory and has appealed to the public to be vigilant. He asked the people to inform the nearest police station in case they notice any suspicious object, person or vehicle. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police has detained a youth alleged to be the brain behind spreading panic by making calls claiming that blasts will be carried out in crowded markets of Delhi prompting several foreign countries to issue travel warnings. PTI quoting highly-placed sources in the State Home Department reports, the man was detained early this morning after a massive manhunt was launched to nab him. <br/><br/>Last week, the security agencies had monitored his activities including his conversation with one "Furqan", suspected to be a Lashker-e-Taiba operative across the border. The youth claimed that a group had entered India through Bangladesh and Nepal to carry out blasts in the national capital. <br/>
