Delhi Police smashes a pan-India terror module, nab six IM operatives

Delhi Police on Wednesday claimed to have smashed a pan-India terror module with the arrest of six suspected Indian Mujahideen operatives. They include a Pakistani national, allegedly involved in three blasts – Best Bakery case, Pune Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and Delhi's Jama Masjid case.

The terrorists belong to Indian Mujahidin out fit. A Press release issued by Delhi police said that a seventh person Ahmad Siddi Bappa alias Imran, believed to be brain behind was allegedly providing finance and other logistics besides coordinating various modules is on the run. Two AK-47 rifles along with 50 cartridges, one pistol along with some other ammunition have been recovered from them.

The statement said the first to be arrested was Siddiqui (27) from near Anand Vihar Bus Terminal on November 22. Responding to a question on the arrests of the suspected terrorists, Home Minister Chidambarm said that Delhi police stated all the facts on Wednesday.
