Delhi Police recovers fake currency notes

Delhi Police has recovered fake currency notes worth over six crore rupees. The seized currency which is in the denomination of 500 and 1000 is one of the biggest hauls in the country. Two persons have been arrested from Janakpuri area of south-west Delhi in this connection. Police suspects that the currency notes have come from Pakistan. Delhi Police Commissioner, BK Gupta said the counterfeit notes were seized, concealed in 33 cloth bundles and loaded in two tempos in a godown in Dabri area of Delhi. He said, police is in touch with Central Bureau of Investigation and Reserve Bank of India in connection with this seizure.
