Delhi Police made elaborate arrangements for smooth Walk race, Cyclying competition

Delhi Police has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of Walk race and Cyclying competition to be held on roads on 9th and 10th of this month. The 20 Kilometer walk race will be held at Sansad Marg for which certain routes will be restricted for general movement from today midnight till tomorrow 10.30 A.M. In its Advisory, Delhi Police has said that traffic will be restricted on Ashoka Road, Red Cross Road, Jai Singh Road and other routes during the walk event. General public have been suggested to use Janpath, Inner Circus of Connaught Place and Baba Kharag Singh Marg for their movements. For 165 Kilometer cycling events, the traffic restriction will be in force from tomorrow midnight to 7 P.M in the evening. Traffic will be blocked at Sansad Marg,Rafi Marg, Janpath, Talkatora Road and other routes for movements towards the Cycling competition routes. The advisory however said that the access to the New Delhi Railway Station will not be affected during the events. On the other hand, Commuter services at the Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat metro stations will also remain suspended on 9th , 10th and 14 th of this month at specified times due to Games events. According to Delhi Metro spokesperson, these two Metro stations will remain closed between 5 A.M to 10 A.M. tomorrow, 6.A,M to 6P.M on 10th while on 14th of this month it will be closed between 5A.M to 11 A.M. However, Metro Train services will remain normal on all other routes despite these restrictions.
