Delhi police invokes prohibitory orders in and around IGI

The Delhi Police have invoked prohibitory orders in and around the Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital, against holding of any kind of protests or rallies in view of the ongoing strike by Air India pilots. The order has been passed to prevent disturbance of public tranquility including overall smooth functioning of the Airport. The prohibitory order will remain in force for a period of 30 days. Police said, that however, religious functions, rallies and public meetings can be held with prior permission.
