Delhi police arrest 6 more accused in connection with Jahangirpuri violence

Delhi police has arrested six more accused in connection with Jahangirpuri violence that erupted during Hanuman Jayanti procession taking the total number of arrests to 20 so far. Earlier, 14 people who were arrested in the case were today produced in a Delhi Court by the police. The Court sent 12 accused to judicial custody for 14 days while the other two were sent to police custody till Monday.<br />'' <br />'' Delhi police said the pistol used in the commission of the crime has been recovered from the possession of one of the accused who opened fire. The case of violence is being jointly investigated by the Delhi Police and Crime Branch. In order to maintain peace and tranquility in the area, a meeting was organised by DCP North West with the members of Aman committee of Police Stations Jahangirpuri,  Mahendra Park and Adarsh Nagar. During the meeting, all the members were asked to appeal the public in their areas to maintain peace, harmony and tranquility.<br />'' <br />''They were also requested to counter any rumour or misinformation, be vigilant towards the activities of any mischievous elements, and keep in touch with police.<br />
