Delhi observes Road Safety Week

A Road Safety Week is being observed in the national capital to educate commuters about the importance of traffic rules. The weeklong drive organised by Delhi Traffic Police began on first of January and is aimed at ensuring citizens' safety while travelling by roads. The Police have deployed volunteers at 20 major intersections in the city to educate and regulate pedestrians and vehicles. Those found violating traffic rules are being informed in detail about road safety and how to comply better with traffic rules. During the weeklong drive, volunteers will also watch out for motorists who observe rules and distribute gifts to them as a mark of appreciation.
