Delhi Master Plan 2021 to be revised

The government today said that Delhi Master Plan 2021 will be revised next year taking into account the possible urban growth in future. Speaking at a function in New Delhi, Union Urban Development Minister Mr Kamal Nath said that the process for changes in the Master Plan of Delhi is already on as there are provisions in the Plan to review it after five years. He opined that the Master Plan should take into considerations the ground reality before finalisation. The Plan was implemented in February 2007 in Delhi. He also said that Delhi Special laws Provision Act will be extended with suitable modifications to safeguard the interests of genuine people.
