The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Mr. Tejender Khanna today said that Delhi Government is making all out effort in the successful organization of commonwealth games in the national capital to be held in the month of October this year. Addressing Delhi Assembly on opening of Budget session, Mr. Khanna said that the basic requirement of the games is to provide sporting infrastructure with the latest international facilities for which the government has been entrusted with the construction and the up gradation of the stadium as well as games related projects. The opposition BJP MLAs continued to sought slogans and protest the governments failure in containing price rise and corruption in games related projects. The LG outlined that government has accorded high priority in construction of flyover, providing basic amenities and smooth transport system in the city. Highlighting the other achievements of the government Mr. Khanna said that it is making relentless efforts to make the government participatory, accountable. transparent, equitable and inclusive. He said that several majors have been taken by the government to ease the hardship of common man due to the price rise of essential commodities. He said that the government has also accorded high priorities to provide better health and education facilities in the city.
