Delhi LG V K Saxena and CM Arvind Kejriwal flag off 500 electric buses

<span style="color: #222222;">Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today flagged off 5 hundred electric buses in the national capital. These buses are in addition to 400 e-buses flagged off in September this year. In a series of social media posts, Lt Governor Saxena said these green buses are provided by the Centre under the FAME-II Scheme for creating a robust and clean public transport infrastructure.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Of the total allocation of 1500 Buses under this Scheme for Delhi, 921 Buses are being provided with a subsidy of 416.82 crore rupees by the Central Government. For the remaining 579 Buses, the Delhi government is bearing the subsidy of 262.04 crore rupees. Mr Saxena said these e-buses, with CCTV and GPS, will go a long way in fighting and mitigating air pollution in the city, besides providing comfortable and safe public transport to the people of Delhi.</span><br />
