Delhi LG submits report to President over govt formation

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has sent a report to President Pranab Mukherjee on conclusion of his consultations with the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate, Harsh Vardhan, and Aam Admi Party leader Arivind Kejriwal on government formation in the state. Mr. Kejriwal, who met the Lieutenant-Governor yesterday, sought 10 days’ time to take a decision on government formation.

Meanwhile, BJP and the Congress have dismissed the 18 pre-conditions laid down by the Aam Aadmi Party, AAP for their support and cooperation in forming government in Delhi.

Hitting back at kejriwal, the BJP leader Balbir Punj said the latest statement by the AAP shows arrogance which does not work in public life. He also said, AAP should come forward to fulfil the expectations of the people of Delhi and should not try to escape from this responsibility.

Congress leader Harun Yusuf in a press statement said people of Delhi have given AAP a mandate and Congress is ready to extend support. The AAP should form the government and fulfil their promises.
