Delhi LG: Private power companies licenses to be cancelled if they do not cooperate in CAG audit

The licenses of private power distribution companies in Delhi, will be cancelled if they do not cooperate in CAG audit. Addressing the first session of the newly elected Delhi Assembly, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today said that a CAG audit of power companies will be carried.

He said, it will be ensured that the companies have not indulged in flagrant violations of financial norms. He also said, the government will prepare an action plan for regularization of unauthorized colonies in the city within a year.

He also said that people residing in these colonies will be given all civic facilities. The LG also said that 500 new government schools will be opened in the city and the facilities in the hospitals will be upgraded at par with the private hospitals.
