Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has invited leaders of BJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress today to explore possibility of government formation in the national capital. Mr. Jung will hold discussions with the three parties separately this evening. Meanwhile sources said prior to the formal meeting with LG, Delhi BJP Chief, Satish Upadhyay and party leader Jagdish Mukhi met Mr. Jung this morning and communicated party's stand that it is not in a position to form government in the city.
On the other hand, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal has urged Mr Jung to disclose the official stand of BJP over government formation in view of party's leaders meeting with him. Earlier, Supreme Court had given time to the Lieutenant Governor till 11th November, to take decision on the matter.
In the assembly elections held in Delhi in December last year, no party had an overall majority. Aam Aadmi Party , with the help of the Congress party formed the government in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal became Chief Minister of Delhi. However, the government could run only for 49 days.
