Delhi High Court to hear plea seeking MHA report on poor food to BSF soilder

The Delhi High Court today sought a response of the Union Home Ministry on a plea seeking its status report on alleged poor quality food being served along the LoC, as claimed by a BSF soldier on social media. The court also issued notice to Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Sashastra Seema Bal and Assam Rifles seeking their stand on the issue. <br/><br/>It directed BSF to produce before it the investigation report and the steps it has taken with regard to allegations levelled by the BSF jawan in the video.<br/>The bench, however, refused to issue any direction with regard to not taking any action against the jawan, as sought by the petitioner, saying it will not go into it.<br/><br/>The petition was filed by a former central government employee in the wake of the video posted by the jawan on Facebook claiming corruption among officers and poor working conditions.
