Delhi High Court has set aside the December 20th election of Praful Patel as President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) while calling for a fresh election within five months. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi has been made AIFF administrator. <br/><br/>The court further observed that the AIFF elections were conducted without adhering to the National Sports Code. The judgement was passed by a bench comprising Justice S.Ravindra Bhat and Justice Najmi Waziri. <br/><br/>It came on a Public Interest Litigation filed by sports activist and lawyer Rahul Mehra. <br/><br/>Patel was unanimously elected as president of AIFF in the Annual General Meeting for a third time after being elected in 2012 as well. <br/>
