Delhi Health Minister urges people in National Capital to strictly adhere to all COVID-related protocols

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has urged the people in the National Capital to strictly adhere to all COVID-related protocols.<br />''<br />'' Addressing the media, Mr Jain said, COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly in Delhi, with the omicron variant being the primary cause of the increase. He however, assured that there is no need to panic about Coronavirus. The Delhi Health Minister, said, the data shows that the omicron variant is less dangerous than the Delta variant. He urged people to wear masks and practise social distancing in public places for their own safety. He said, Omicron variant is just a variant of corona, and the treatment and prevention protocol is the same as before. He said, there are plenty of beds available at hospitals in the National capital and the occupancy rate is only 2 to 5 per cent. He appealed to the people to take both doses of the vaccine against COVID-19.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr Jain also said that no lockdown will be imposed in the city for the time being. He said, some restrictions have been imposed in the interest of public health. The Minister said, Delhi has taken the most stringent steps in the country to stop Corona, such as weekend curfew, shutting down colleges and schools.</span><br />
