The Delhi High Court today dismissed the appeal of veteran Congress leader and former Andhra Pradesh Governor N. D. Tiwari to keep his DNA test in a paternity suit confidential.
A division bench of acting Chief Justice A. K. Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw said that the DNA report can be made public in the court but no copies should be given to any of the parties in the case. A single Judge bench will open the report on the DNA test at 2.30 PM.
The former leader was taken to court by a 32 years old Rohit Shekhar who claims that Mr. Tiwari is his biological farther which Mr. Tiwari has denied . The DNA test was ordered by the court to settle the matter.
