The Delhi High Court has rejected the plea of several private colleges seeking affiliation to the Delhibased Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University to run their colleges in other states without obtaining clearance from the respective governments of that states.A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw yesterday dismissed a bunch of petitions challenging the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University 's mandatory requirement for a no objection certificate (NOC) from the concerned state government while granting them affiliation to educational institutions there.
