The Delhi High Court has rejected auto drivers' plea against installation of global positioning systems, GPS in auto rickshaws. A bench of acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw yesterday rejected the auto drivers' plea saying that the same is in line with global trend. The court rejected the auto drivers' argument that the government's decision is discriminatory and arbitrary and said that installation of GPS would record the route taken by the auto rickshaw drivers. Autodrivers in Delhi are known for overcharging and taking longer instead of direct routes for their own benefit
