Delhi HC directs O.P Chautala to appear today in CBI's plea against his bail issue

Delhi High Court has directed former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala to appear before it today on Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI's plea for cancellation of his bail. CBI yesterday moved the High Court seeking cancellation of interim bail granted to Chautala in the JBT teachers recruitment scam case, saying that he has violated the bail conditions.

The counsel for the probe agency had mentioned the application before a bench of Justices B D Ahmed and Siddharth Mridul and sought an urgent hearing. The investigating agency submitted before the High court that the INLD leader, who was granted bail on medical grounds, has been campaigning for Haryana assembly elections in violation of bail conditions. Chautala has been convicted and sentenced to 10 years jail term in the JBT teachers recruitment scam case.
